Algenist MicroAlgae Skincare Review
Algenist is a skincare brand that focuses on anti-aging using biotechnology. They have a patented formula with micro-algae, which thrives in the harshest of climates, and promises to transform your skin in ten days. I recently reviewed the Alive Prebiotic Balancing Mask which I fell in love with, however I wanted to review the entire skincare collection and see how I felt. The face wash was very gentle and had no fragrance, which many will appreciate. The toner was very light and airy and left my skin feeling fresh. The Genius Liquid Collagen claims to have plant collagen and micro algae oil; each bottle contains 13,000 beads of micro-algae oil. The liquid collagen comes in cool packaging that allows you to pull the serum up through a tube. The smell is very light and it left my skin feeling super hydrated and quite frankly, radiating. The Genius Ultimate Vitamin C Serum left me feeling sticky and had an odd scent, so I would definitely recommend the Liquid Collagen over the Vitamin C Serum. The Power Recharging Night Serum had a sweet cinnamon smell and the formula was not heavy, it was refreshing and a little goes a long way. The Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream is packed with micro-algae oil and had a nice floral fragrance, but left my skin feeling hydrated, tighter and firmer. The Liquid Collagen Lip was my favorite part because I love a good lip plumper! This one is packed with again their favorite ingredient, micro-algae, which intensely hydrates skin. It applies very easily and within seconds, leaves lips looking plumb and hydrated. Overall, I loved all the products, except for the Vitamin C serum. I will definitely be incorporating these products into my routine and I love that it incorporates micro-algae in most of their products.
