My Workout Routine

Since I can remember, fitness has been a very big part of my life. I have stuck to the philosophy that your body is your temple. This has been an important thing to me because when your body feels well your mind feels better. During my childhood I was very athletic and participated in gymnastic, cross country, swimming, rowing and tennis. These all taught me self discipline, pushing my self to the limit, you can change your mindset to overcome obstacles, and self care is important. I also have watch what I eat because I have noticed that I am happier when I eat healthier.

I workout three times a week to tone my body regularly. My workouts vary because your body gets used to workout routines, so I try to switch it up which also makes it more fun. If I go to the gym, I usually do some version of cardio, either running or the indoor rower. My runs are usually a mile or two, and I follow with an ab workout. I like to do crunches, sit ups, mountain climbers, and leg lifts. For my upper body I don't like to do weights because it gives me back pain so I usually workout with my own body weight. I like to do sets of pull-ups, pushups, superman holds, and cartwheels/headstands. I also like to swim laps, bike, or run on the beach. I think being fit is just about getting up and moving around which helps improve your mood and boosts energy. I usually follow my workouts with a smoothie, which quenches my thirst and adds nutritional value to my diet. I hope this inspired you to get up, put on a cute pair of workout clothes, and get moving with a workout you find exciting.
