KORA Organics Noni Glow Sleeping Mask
KORA Organics is a certified organic and natural products brand for one simple reason – because what you put on your skin soaks in. I love the brand philosophy and have reviewed the Turmeric Mask, however, I had to try out their entire line which is in a separate post but I wanted to try out their sleeping mask to see what the hype was about. It claims to be a “lightweight bouncy gel treatment mask that boosts hydration to deliver smoother, plumper looking skin.” It smelled a little funny while I was applying, and I couldn’t quite put my finger onto what the smell was from. It applied easily and spread out evenly thanks to the gel consistency and it soaked in almost immediately, however it left a sticky residue that looked like a sheet over my face. The product contains tons of beneficial ingredients—such as aloe juice—which helps moisturize and repair skin, coconut extract for hydration, and Noni for anti-inflammation. My skin looked very plump after a few minutes of having it on, however, I did realize that I was beginning to get some red spots and I wondered what it could be. This led me to discover that it has two types of alcohol; one being pure alcohol which causes irritation, redness and dryness. I later took this off and my skin felt very hydrated, plumped and glowing, but afterwards using it led me to question whether or not this would worsen the reactions with continuous use due to the alcohol. If the formula were to be alcohol free I would defiantly use this multiple times during the week. Thanks so much for reading xoxo -Chaz
