Glow Recipe Pineapple + C Bright Serum Review

Glow Recipe is a Korean skincare company that is natural and cruelty-free and has appeared on Shark Tanked. They take pride in creating unique skincare that uses extracts from different fruits. I have reviewed their Watermelon face mask, which is linked, so I decided to try out their new Pineapple and Vitamin C Serum. I have never used a pineapple serum, so I decided to give it a test and wear it instead of my usual Vitamin C serum that I created. The key ingredients benefits of the Pineapple Serum are “Pineapple Juice: Helps to create the look of bright, smooth, and hydrated skin, Vitamin C: Brightens and provides antioxidants, Chamomile: Calms and soothes skin, creating a gentle formula for sensitive skin.” The serum came in a cute pineapple shaped tube and had a suction system like a turkey baster that I am against because Vitamin C oxidizes and this has no airtight seal so the serum will eventually go bad if you don’t use it immediately. The serum had an overpowering smell of pineapple that I couldn’t personally stand, and it left my skin feeling tacky and felt thick. Overall I think this serum would be good to wear occasionally to use as a mix with an exfoliant to add some nutrients, but as an everyday Serum, I would not recommend this to anybody.I think a better alternate would be the Keihls Midnight Recovery Serum or Transcend Cosmetics Vitamin C Serum.
