Bliss Brightening Skincare Review

Bliss is a cruelty-free brand that claims to deliver "spa-quality skincare at home." I wanted to try Bliss because they sell a Vitamin C serum, which I also sell in my skincare line Transcend Cosmetics. The Fab-Foaming Cleanser with Bamboo Buffers was the first product I tried. It smells fruity, and it's a gel that felt like a light exfoliator. However, it has a very chemical smell, and the granules don't feel like they're working; it over lathered and dried out my skin to the point of white flakes of dryness forming. I wouldn't recommend this as an everyday cleanser as its way too strong—the pump leaks as you pump it, which leaves a residue. The next product is the What-A-Melon Replenishing Watermelon Toner. It smells like watermelon and cucumber, and it's supposed to be balancing. It did get rid of the flakiness; I'll give it that, however, it didn't add an immense amount of hydration. The Bright Idea Vitamin C Serum, which is vegan, was supposed to be a brightening serum, but it felt sticky and didn't add any noticeable glow to my skin. It also smelled strange for a Vitamin C Serum and had an unusual white color. The Vitamin C Moisturizer was supposed to be collagen protecting, brightening, and plumping. It smells slightly citrusy but more-so bland. It was very thick—too creamy for my liking—and it turned my skin a little red, I think because it couldn't breathe from the thickness. It also contains alcohol, which can irritate and make your skin red. The Vitamin C Eye Cream was supposed to moisturize and reduce the appearance of fine lines, but it was similar to the moisturizer where it was too thick. It left a slight itching sensation that could've been from the alcohol. I would've preferred the Eye Cream as a gel, but it did feel hydrating after the stinging subsided. Overall I think some of the products have a lot of potential, however, if you're going to have a Vitamin C line, I'd question putting it in jars and packaging that can expose light because the Vitamin C can oxidize faster, even though it didn't have a lot of Vitamin C. My skin felt good, but it felt way too sticky for an everyday product, and I'd prefer products that absorb into your skin with more ease.
