Transcend Cosmetics Sunscreen

Sunscreen is vital to your skin as UV radiations have the potential to cause premature aging, dehydration, and acne. Therefore recently I have become overly protective of my skin and have become more conscious of trying to put sunscreen on every morning before walking out the door, as “Even cloudy days call for sunscreen” as clouds can actually reflect more sunlight and UV rays can still pass through clouds. The Transcend Cosmetics Mineral Sunscreen is a pyscial blocker which I prefer as physical sunscreens create a barrier on the skin that filter out UV rays, while chemical sunscreens absorb and scatter the sun's harsh UV rays. Physical sunscreens work by staying on top of the skin to deflect and scatter damaging UV rays away from the skin which I prefer as I do not want chemicals absorbing into my skin. So with that being said I would love to go through the organic ingredients Transcend Cosmetics use as I am so in love with this product and would like to explain the benefits.

Zinc oxide is considered one of the best sunscreen ingredients we have access to. Not only does it block both UVA and UVB rays – which are responsible for causing burns, skin damage, and skin cancer — but it's completely photostable and resistant to water.

The UVA and UVB protection from raspberry seed oil is reportedly similar to titanium dioxide, with an SPF against UVB rays of 28-50, and an SPF against UVA rays of around 8. Raspberry seed oil contains powerful anti-oxidants and vitamin E to help fight free radicals, renew skin cells and improve tone/elasticity. All of these factors combined and the high rated SPF, definitely make it one of the best spf oils.

Carrot seed oil is a vegetable oil that has the maximum amount of SPF. It is also rich in antioxidants and has antiseptic properties. Carrot seed oil is an essential oil with significant antioxidant, antiseptic and fragrant properties with high levels of vitamin A. Vitamin A is a organic found compound that protects our skin from UV rays, prevents wrinkles, and encourages cell production. According to a study published in “Pharmacognosy Magazine” in 2009, products containing carrot seed oil have a natural SPF of 38 and 40.

Grape seed oil has been given an SPF rating of 4 as a sunscreen ingredient. Grape seed oil contains linoleic acid which can be beneficial to a range of skin problems.

Vanilla essential oil helps promote skin health, keeping skin clear of acne and fending off free radical damage. It can also help prevent wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots.

Overall I love the Transcend Cosmetics Mineral Sunscreen with SPF 30, the scent of the vanilla is so lovely while it helps prevent wrinkles and hydrates. The consistency is very milky which I like for a sunscreen while being quick drying and easy to apply with the spray bottle. I love the feeling of the Grape, Carrot and Raspberry seed oils and overall I can say that my skin has improved since beginning to use this sunscreen. I would recommend this to a friend as it is organic and sunscreen is vital to everyday protection and hydration.
